Enhanced Communications and Analysis Test System
In 2008 the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Command (AFOTEC) awarded ALS prime contract FA7046-08-C-0003 for the design, development, testing and delivery of the Enhanced Communications and Analysis Test System (ECATS). ECATS would have provided AFOTEC with an operational satellite ground suite capable of establishing two-way communication links with virtually every DoD satellite system including Wide-Band Gap Filler (WBGF), Defense Satellite Communication Systems (DSCS) and others to support operational testing.
SVAD / White Sands Missile Range
Under prime contract W9124Q-06-C-0195 from the Survivability Vulnerability Assessment Directorate (SVAD) at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) ALS provides general engineering support. Engineering services included the test, evaluation and assessment of nuclear and electromagnetic radiation effects on military systems and materials. These services were provided throughout the entire organization for the gamma range, which involves the testing of items against gamma radiation bombardment to the high power microwave sites.

Joint Directed Energy Testing Site
In 2009 ALS received prime contract FA9201-09-C-0266 from the US Air Force's 781st Test Squadron, 46 Test Group located at Holloman AFB, NM. Under this contract, ALS was required to locate and procure a 165,000 ton capacity all-terrain crane to support the National Radar Cross Section Test Facility (NRCSTF) located at White Sands Missile Range. ALS's logistical support personnel located and purchased the crane from a company in Norfolk, VA. Following the purchase, ALS planned the delivery through multiple states requiring coordination with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and each state's Transportation agency. This enormous crane took six weeks to deliver since the vehicle was considered a "super load" and could only travel 8 hours a day and only at night.
